On Monday evening, (20th May 2024) the Leonardo Royal London City Hotel will ring with the joyous voices of Romantic novelists, their publishers, supporters, and other interested parties, as they gather for the Romantic Novelists Association Romantic Novel of the Year Awards for 2024.
Friends and colleagues will greet each other, catch up on news, wish each other well and admire each other’s wonderful outfits, before they get down to the serious business of the evening: honouring those whose work has been shortlisted, and announcing the winners.
The prestigious awards will go out in various categories, including Romantic Fantasy, Saga, Historical, Contemporary, and many others. Some of the winners will be household names, others on their way to becoming so.
The host for the evening is Anton du Beke.
I am proud and thrilled to say that my book, “Viscount in Hiding” is shortlisted for The Jackie Collins Romantic Thriller of the Year Award. The award is given for a story featuring a substantial thriller, suspense, mystery or crime story, alongside or fully entwined with a romantic story.
Previous winners include Dani Atkins, Suzanne Fortin, Louise Douglas and Samantha Tonge.
My fellow finalists this year are all excellent, and I am in awe of them and their talent. I am so glad I didn’t have to judge.
